  • Mountain Biking Activities in Wales. Activities

    Mountain Biking in West Wales is a perfect opportunity to experience biking on a combination of quiet coastal roads, woodland trails, and bridleways on the Carmarthenshire/Pembrokeshire border. All equipment provided. You are of course welcome to bring along your own bike if you wish to do so. The event is designed for both beginners, and the more experienced rider. The weekend will offer an ideal opportunity to explore an area of outstanding beauty in West Wales, and to relax with new found friends.

    Basic warm up activities can begin on site using centre high ropes course and/or climbing wall. Progression involves an excursion to the Pembrokeshire coastline or the Gower Peninsular where you are treated to the ultimate climbing and abseiling experience.

  • Infra-red Outdoor Combat Games. Activities

    Infra-red combat is a team game using gaming guns with the latest infra-red technology (the Royal Marine Commandos are currently using these for their combat training). It is suitable for everyone to play. Eye safe and no bruising or pain. Infra-red is fun, challenging, and full of adrenalin-pumping action. The emphasis is on teamwork and gamers carry out challenging missions including sabotage, flight box, sniper, patrol, capture and hold, rescue the VIP, etc.

    The gaming guns are used by the Royal Marine Commandos for Close Quarters Battle (CQB) training. Aiming through telescopic scopes or red dot they shoot a precision infra-red beam of light at the sensors worn by the other players. The sensors flash red to register a hit. When a player runs out of lives their infra-red combat gun deactivates and their sensors shine red so there's no cheating. The action resumes with reactivation from a Marshal. Virtually unlimited free ammunition means no hidden charges to restrict your firing.

    Infra-red combat guns are always loaded ready to respond when you're ready. These include the “Carbine” which offers huge fire power and compact design, “Sub Machine Gun” for CQB and the “Sniper Rifle” for the lone marksman. There is no need to carry ammunition around, as there aren’t any physical projectiles, like a paintball pellet. Shots are not affected by the wind, players do not have to wear masks, and are not weighed down with padded protective gear. Your mission feels real.
